Mark Twain was born 1835 as Samuel Langhorne Clemens who became an American author, known for his humor, storytelling, and being a mutual bystander. Mark Twain started his career as a student and wrote for his brother’s newspaper. Twain also was a Mississippi River pilot but the Civil War ended river traffic. In the end, he wrote for the Virginia City Examiner and later became a San Francisco newspaperman. Mark Twain was unmatched in American literature because of his novels like “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”. Mark Twain impacted American Literature through his stunning success of humor, brilliant description of characters and vivid details of oppression to man (Twain, 1).
