Glyphosate is an herbicide used in agricultural production in the main producing countries (United States, Brazil and Argentina), which has the characteristic of being broad spectrum. It is a compound that has allowed for a long time the great expansion of direct sowing, allowing to reduce the erosion of soils. Glyphosate is a herbicide that, when applied, restrains almost all weeds, so its use is forced when sowing under direct sowing.
  The World Health Organization has included glyphosate in the 2A group of carcinogens, which includes things like hot mate or working as a hairdresser. Glyphosate is not innocuous, but the report of the International Agency for Research on Cancer is a case of bad science with a terrible interpretation of scientific data.
First of all and according to IARC, glyphosate has been classified as “probably carcinogenic to humans” (Group 2A) when “limited evidence” is found that they can cause cancer (non-Hodgkin lymphoma) while parathion, has been designated as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” (Group 2B), since “convincing evidence” is found that these agents caused cancer in laboratory animals.
The IARC review notes that there is “limited evidence” of a link to cancer in humans. Throughout various studies since 2001 in the United States and Sweden, it has been seen that people who work with this herbicide seem to be at increased risk of a type of cancer called non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In addition, including other studies in animals, it was concluded that glyphosate is “probably carcinogenic”, since it was related to tumors in mice and damage to cellular DNA in glyphosate exposure.
These evidences that seem clear in the case of animals, are not so much in the case of human health and is the main problem of the report, hence the classification of glyphosate in category 2A as “probably carcinogenic”, as it exists Limited evidence in humans.
Talking about glyphosate and its advantages or disadvantages, we must take into account the following points: the amount of water required to make the glyphosate mixture is enormous and its transfer to distant and steep and isolated areas produce a great logistical effort, meaning greater use of techniques. Second, mobile eradication groups require permanent logistical support, which greatly increases the costs of eradication per hectare.
Without taking into account the economic cost of these processes, we must inquire into the human environment and its direct relationship or not with cancer. In my opinion, if it is shown with a high percentage that produce cancer, its advantages in production or even economic saving are irrelevant. If it puts human health at risk, it should be withdrawn from the market. For human health, the main risks that glyphosate brings are: genetic damage, sperm reduction, abortions, fetal malformation, subacute toxicity, chronic toxicity (gastric inflammation), respiratory problems, allergies), carcinogenic effects and food contamination.
Nowadays, there are more and more autistic children and one of the biggest difficulties that physicians face is a habitual delay in diagnosis.
